True friends are those who do virtually everything together. They laugh together, mourn together, slay together and win together. Without doubt, the ability to share successes with each other and embrace flaws, weaknesses and failures is the truest definition of friendship.

A particular lady has taken to expressing her joy after her life became an embodiment of what true friendship is really about. The said young woman is a popular On-air personality who has made quite a name for herself in the media industry.

This lady named Olive Emodi was pretty much excited after her hard work and media presence paid off and led to her winning a prestigious award at The Future Awards Africa 2018 which was recently held.

Olive Emodi won the OAP of the year (Television). While this award has served as the highlight of the year for her, what has even made the lady more happy is that her friend had won the same award as best OAP (radio) for the year 2016.

News flash: We won the Future Awards Africa Prize for TV Personality of the Year and from this video, we came ready (My gladmsquad and I) . How could I not show you that my dress can be worn in two ways? As the night progressed, I wore it the second way and changed from silver sandals to white sneakers because man can not live by heels alone😂. @msmakor made this stunning dress that I’m in love with, thanks mama❤. . My hair was made with love by @lifeehair, our most daring look yet. I’m about to find husband y’all, he will climb this hair to come rescue me just like Rapunzels bae did🤣. . @makeupexplorer beat my face and the thing didn’t fall apart like the wall of Jericho, it stayed ‘kamkpe’ . My accessories by @zoyasjewels were blinging so much that I felt like singing 🎵Shine bright like a Diamond🎵😂. . As for this song titled Drogba, by @afrob__ featuring Wizkid, I only used it because of the line that said “Give to them”. Because if I don’t give them, how will they take it🤣🤣. I obviously woke up in high spirits🤦🏾‍♀️🤣💃. . #TFAA2018 #OnAirPersonalityOfTheYear #TVPrezenterOfTheYear #FutureAwards #OliveEmodi

At that time, she had celebrated her friend big time. Never did she guess that her friend would be celebrating her as well very soon. For this reason, the award she won meant a lot to her.

Olive was clearly excited that her friendship with her bestie had stood the test of time, and even more, it was good that they had something to even be happy about during the end of the year. Thus, the OAP took to expressing her gratitude for their relationship.

See her full post below:

“She won hers in 2016 as OAP of the Year (Radio), I won mine in 2018 as OAP of the Year (TV). Significant moments in the life of our Sisterhood.

Thankful for Friendships where you pray together, slay together and win together with Jesus at the centre of it all. We are both in the same Industry, hosted the same show on TV (that’s how we actually met), yet this Woman is my hype-woman.

Thankful for you @ayomairoese and the way you love me, celebrate me and inspire me. Thankful for this Friendship that we have, this bond that we share, this Sisterhood that now exists. Thanks for sharing your family/friends with me and accepting mine as yours…THANK YOU IRON.

Cheers to winning more awards collectively and individually. More importantly, here’s to living a life of impact and making Jesus proud.

Funfact: She won this Award in 2016 as Ayo Thompson and 11 months later her name became Ayo Mairo-Ese. Dear Lord Jesus is this a sign?.”

Evidently, Olive’s friend Ayo had gotten married just a few months after she won the award. She is hoping the same will happen to her. Many people have taken to congratulating the duo for their sustained relationship and wins.

See some of the reactions below:

It is quite a pity that while some have been thrown into rejoicing this year, for some, the opposite is the case for some people. For one, OAP Tosyn Bucknor recently died at the age of 37. Her death has indeed pained many people including her YoruFrench husband and sister.
